Recycle IT is a community based social enterprise specialising in recycling Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). Recycle IT will take any electrical items with a plug or a battery. This includes dual purpose business and household appliances like computers, printers, washing machines, dishwashers or fridges. We also take small battery-operated devices like electric toothbrushes, mobile phones and pocket radios. So, if you live or work in Dublin or the surrounding counties and have a disused computer, TV, cooker or phone in the store, garage or under the stairs please Recycle IT.
Clondalkin Community Recycling Initiative was originally set up in 2002 by the Environment Working Group of Clondalkin Partnership under the Irish Governments Social Economy Initiative. With support from South Dublin County Council (SDCC) and Clondalkin Partnership the initiative development into a Social Enterprise now offering employment and training opportunities to over 20 people. Over the years, the initiative established a presence in Dublin and surrounding areas and became known as Recycle IT. Today our teams work with households, community organisations and small business to facilitate electronic, electrical and pure metal recycling and promote environment awareness.
